Design and Analysis of Buffer Device for Interstage Pyrotechnic Separation

Abstract Buffer device for interstage pyrotechnic separation is the key part to achieving electrical connector plug separation. This paper carries out research on buffer structure in different working conditions and finally designs two kinds of devices, which are respectively applied stage large mass SLMB (Shingle-Like Mass Blocks) small SLMB. Both can control energy absorption size through structural parameters adapt conditions. Compared with original structure, effect after optimization very obvious. The time domain peak value frequency buffering suitable reduced by 79.90% 85.67%, respectively. changes mode steel cable will not break. loaded SLMB, response also decreased. application range devices greatly expanded.
